Thomas A. Bailey is a North Alabama real estate and title attorney with extensive experience in title examination, real estate closings, and the legal issues affecting the ownership and transfer of Alabama property. North Alabama has been home to Thomas since childhood, and he has built his practice around serving the individuals, families, businesses, and real estate professionals who live and work throughout the area.
Thomas regularly represents and advises builders, buyers, sellers, lenders, Realtors, real estate brokers and agents, businesses, and other parties involved in Alabama real estate transactions. His practice includes title examination, resolving title defects, preparing and reviewing deeds and closing documents, contracts, mortgages, easements, probate-related title issues, and other matters affecting real property. His years of experience as both an attorney and executive with ADM Title Services give him a practical understanding of the entire transaction—from the initial title search through the closing table. He particularly enjoys working through difficult title and closing issues and finding practical solutions that allow transactions to move forward.
Thomas also assists individuals and families with estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related planning. His background in real estate, title, and probate matters gives him a practical perspective when helping clients plan for the ownership, protection, and transfer of their property. Thomas graduated cum laude from Cumberland School of Law, where he ranked in the top seven percent of his class, received the Scholar of Merit in Real Estate Transactions, and served as an Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Outside the office, Thomas spends most of his free time with his wife and their two children. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outside, and he has a lifelong interest in history. Having called North Alabama home for most of his life, Thomas values the relationships and communities that have shaped both his family and his practice.
